The 25th World LP Gas Forum featuring Oceania Stream
& Global Technology Conference was a great success!
This year, the World LP Gas Forum had the pleasure of welcoming in Bali
more than 1400 participants from 70 countries.
The magical island of Bali is located among 17,500 islands across the Indonesian archipelago and forms part of the 33 provinces of the Republic of Indonesia.
Bali may be relatively small in size but its prominence as a destination is huge. Bali has fascinated and influenced visitors from the outside world for centuries. The Balinese maintain a precious heritage of unique arts and a dynamic culture amidst breathtaking panoramas of cultivated rice terrace, impressive volcanoes, beautiful beaches and thousands of temples.
Life in Bali is always related to “Tri Hita Karana” or a tripartite concept that include the spiritual relationship between human and God, and their environment. On the Island of the Gods, the passage of life is measured through elaborate rituals performed by local people.
Interestingly, Balinese culture is still as what it was, growing along with globalization. It is the Balinese civilization that makes the island different from other destinations.
More than a tropical island paradise, Bali is a unique destination within Southeast Asia and any trip to this visitor-friendly island creates an enduring memory.
A successful combination of business with pleasure is just one of Bali’s unique attributes.
The World LP Gas Forum is THE premium annual global event for the LP Gas industry. This unique event travels the globe annually attracting key international agencies, policy makers, media and the highest level of industry leaders to explore the LP Gas business, discuss its growth potential and to forge new business relationships. The Bali Forum will encompass the entire LP Gas value chain, uniting LP Gas producers and traders with distributors, marketers and service providers. The Forum regularly attracts over 700 attendees and hundreds of external visitors from more than 50 countries.
If you only attend one event in 2012 make sure this is the one and don’t miss your chance to meet with all types of industry stakeholders.
Alongside the conference, the WLPGA exhibition will provide all delegates and visitors with the opportunity to see the latest products and services available in relation to the production, storage, transport, distribution, and installation of LP Gas. The exhibition hall will be a central point for all Forum participants to network, learn and develop exciting new business opportunities.
The Indonesian market has undergone unprecedented change over the last three years with its ground-breaking “Kerosene to LPG Substitution Programme” launched in 2007 that has moved nearly 254 million people from using Kerosene to using LP Gas. With a market still growing at more than 5.5 % per year concentrated overwhelmingly in the domestic sector, this remains a market for everyone in the industry to watch.
Asia remains a crucial region for the industry. Home to Korea, the largest Autogas market in the world, as well as China, India and Japan, the first, third and fourth largest domestic sector markets respectively, Asia continues on a path of rapid growth. Today the region is responsible for 41.9% of the global domestic demand and 46% of the total global Autogas
demand.
